Tall Ships Race in Fredrikstad 2019

The truth is I do not like to be at sea, but when the ships and boats are safely placed along the shore, it is a different matter. On Friday we went to Fredrikstad  to see the Tall Ships.

The dictionary told me that a tall ship is a sailing ship with a high mast or masts.

According to the news today, around 300 000 persons are estimated to have visited the event during a few short days. Impressive!

It was a beautiful summer day.

The ships came in all sizes and ages and from many countries - including

Oman, Brazil and Mexico.
