Puddles covered with ice

At 11 o'clock today I ventured out.
The sun was shining.
It was a little bit cold, but not too much.
A little boy coming towards me was playing with a stick,
pushing it into the ground.
Getting closer, I realized he was poking his stick into the ice
covering what had been puddles of water yesterday.
It is getting colder!
Quickly I bought a warm cap and a scarf for coming days.
